Patrick is an Instructional Technology Consultant, focused on consulting with faculty one-on-one in courseware development, special projects, and exploration of how new technologies can be applied and integrated into effective teaching practices at the university. Before moving into the CTL, Patrick provided broad technical support for a mixed (PC, Mac, UNIX) environment at Kennedy Library. Patrick's particular interests are in web development (including blog and wiki use), video and podcasts development, and effective use of multimedia software.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from University of California, Berkeley. Before coming to Cal Poly in 1997, Patrick worked for The Developmental Studies Center, a non-profit educational research center and think-tank, where he worked directly with educators to integrate technology into the teaching practice.
