Tonia Malone, M.S. 
Tonia Malone has been an Instructional Designer at Cal Poly for over fourteen years. Within these years she has worn many hats: she teaches multiple workshops on effective teaching and learning with technology, has been a Blackboard Administrator for over 8 years, taught in the Art department as a Lecturer, and is currently playing a key role in the Technology Initiative at Cal Poly.
She holds a B.S. in Graphic Communications (1994), a Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning (2000), and a M.S. in Education (2007) with a specialization in Online Teaching and Learning.
Accomplishments:
- Created over 40 supplemental, hybrid or online courses in disciplines such as; AERO, ANT, ARCE, ARCH, ASCI, BOT, BUS, CE, CHEM, CPE, CSC, EDUC, EHS, GrC, KINE, LA, POLS, and ZOO.
- Presented at the Blackboard Users Conference - 2002
- Presented at CATS Conferences 2001-2005
- Participated in the CATS Conference Planning Committee 2002-2005
- Received an Annual DRC Honorees Award for 2003-2004
- Presented at the CSU Teacher Scholar Summer Institute in 2004
- TIGERS 2006/2007 Grant Recipient - An Instrument

- Facilitated the Hybrid Pilot Project - Summer 2006
